Brrrrr is right. Snowing to 600m today and it is the last day of Spring!
Not too many people willing to brave the cold today, so had a little time to work on my avatar.

You nailed it!
It was surprisingly difficult to stand upside down, so had to keep one fin on so I could stay in position while my buddy snapped the pic.
Ended up looking like a diving ninja running along the ice.

Possibly next time when you get upside down with your feet planted securely on the underside of the ice,you could inflate your BCD a certain amount and the inverted positive bouyancy would literally hold you up so you have both feet planted firmly against the ice.

And then just use your BCD rear dump valve when you are ready to peel off the underside... ha ha ha

That is if this is not how you did this in the first place...

We are experiencing some amazing conditions here at present.

Unprecedented water temps of 21 deg on the surface, 18 deg at 12m and 14 deg at 27m.
For the first time in 10 years of diving these lakes I have been diving in a wetsuit, without gloves. It helps when the air temps are consistently in the 30s.

Just had an unbelievably good weekend doing Altitude, Navigation, DPV, Deep and Nitrox dives over 3 different sites in 2 different lakes all within 15 mins drive from the store.

Apparently the conditions at our nearest sea dive on the west coast are fantastic too.

Gotta love this place.

Damn - i don't get down that way till early June.
Most likely just dive Lake Coleridge though...still.
(pretty sure its a drysuit dive that time of year?)
